Veronika Polonsky-Midthassel
School Social Worker, Ridgefield Memorial High School

Hello! My name is Mrs. Polonsky, and I am the school social worker at Ridgefield Memorial High School. I currently support students in the Learning Center and in our STRIVE program. I started as a school social worker in 2018.

I earned my B.S and Masters in Social work, both at Rutgers University. I chose a career in school social work because I believe every student deserves to feel seen, supported, and empowered to succeed. Working with students allows me to be an advocate for those whose voices are often overlooked, helping them access the resources, skills, and confidence they need to thrive. I am passionate about creating safe and inclusive environments where students can grow both academically and emotionally.

Outside of school, I enjoy many hobbies—ceramics, puzzling, reading, and cooking!
