Mr. Mike Larkin

12th Grade Health and Physical Education

 

Hello! My name is Mr. Larkin.  I am proud to be the 12th Grade Health and Physical Education Teacher here at Ridgefield Memorial High School.  I am entering my 6th year teaching here at RMHS.  I received my undergraduate degree at Ramapo College and received an MAT in Health and Physical Education at Montclair State University.

 

As a teacher, I believe in creating an inclusive environment for all students allowing them to excel and instill confidence in their approach to physical activity.  Physical activity is something that I am very passionate about, whether being in the form of sports or exercise and I believe it is a very important component to not just physical wellness, but mental wellness as well.  My goal is to help students live and lead a healthy lifestyle not just while they are in my classroom but beyond the classroom into their post graduate years.

 

On my freetime I enjoy watching sports, specifically College Football, the NFL and MLB.  I enjoy outdoor activity such as hiking and fishing.
