Hello, my name is Marilena Ferraiuolo and I am a Literature and Film teacher at Ridgefield Memorial High School of 22 years. Currently, I teach 11th grade American Literature, 12th grade AP English Literature, and Film Studies. I believe that it is important to create a learning environment that is not only challenging and edifying educationally, but supportive and where students feel valued and continually grow. I enjoy teaching because it allows me to see students continually grow and flourish, gaining a love for Literature and Film.
I earne my B.A. in English and Secondary Education at William Paterson University as well as my MA in English Literature and MFA in Creative and Professional Writing from William Paterson University as well. Currently I am the advisor to the National English Honor Society; Serendipity, our arts and literature club; Epilogue Yearbook Business; and the AV Club. I also direct The Variety Show, Ridgefield Memorial High School's annual talent show.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I like to write poetry, watch movies, and swim!
