Mrs. Jennifer Lambert
Hello! My name is Mrs. Lambert and this September will mark the beginning of my 21st year teaching at Ridgefield Memorial High School and my 26th year, overall, as a high school English teacher. Each year has been different from and more exciting than the last. I look forward to the opportunities and experiences that will come this year.
This year, I will be teaching:
Grade 10- English II Honors & English II.
Grade 12- English IV Honors & English IV.
My Educational Philosophy
When I was in college, as a declared English major, I took a seminar class on the Irish writer James Joyce. My instructor made his lectures so fun and interesting that one day, as cliché as it sounds, something "clicked" in me that I wanted to share my love of literature with others- I wanted to be a high school English teacher. English is such an important subject in that it sheds light on so many aspects of life. I believe that all students, no matter what their backgrounds and interests, can benefit from reading and responding to a variety of literary genres. One of the best parts of my day is when I can engage in conversations with students about what we are reading in class and what they are reading on their own.
