School Counseling
Welcome to the School Counseling Department at Ridgefield Memorial High School.
The school counseling department assists students in dealing with academic decisions, career and college planning, personal issues, social skills, and other areas, to prepare each student to take her/his place in society. The school counseling department is located on the second floor, across from the main office and media center.
During the school year, counselors facilitate various group meetings and individual conferences to address the issues listed above and to help students learn to make good decisions. Counselors meet with juniors and seniors regularly to begin the college exploration and application process. They provide support to all students throughout the year and have a wealth of information that will help students form their future. Students should feel free to make an appointment with their counselor when they need advice on any situation. If you are unsure of your child's counselor, please contact our office. Parents/guardians are always welcome to make appointments with their child's counselor to discuss concerns.
